Private Car Hire in Benin City — Car & Driver at Your Disposal.

Private car hire in Benin City is when you hire a car with a professional driver for a specified period — an hour, a day, a week or a month — and the car and driver are at your exclusive disposal for that time. Unlike a taxi ride, which takes you from A to B, a private car hire stays with you throughout your schedule: multiple meetings, errands, event logistics, airport runs or a full day of travel. Grid Express provides private car hire in Benin City, Edo State, with clean air-conditioned sedans, SUVs, executive cars, minibuses and buses, driven by verified professional chauffeurs, 24 hours a day.

Private car hire pricing depends on three main things: the car type (economy sedan, mid-size saloon, SUV, executive car, minibus or bus), the hire duration (hourly, daily, weekly or monthly) and the itinerary (city-only, outstation, multi-stop or overnight). City-only daily hire starts lower, outstation hire is quoted per route, and weekly or monthly corporate hires get discounted rates. Every job is quoted individually — message us on WhatsApp with your dates, duration and needs and we'll send you a firm price.

We offer five hire durations: hourly hire (a car and driver for a few hours — meetings, errands, one-day events), daily hire (a full-day hire covering up to a set number of hours and kilometres), weekly hire (a car and driver at your disposal for a full week — ideal for business visits and extended stays), monthly hire (long-term car hire with a dedicated driver for a month or longer — the choice of corporates and long-stay visitors) and custom hire (multi-day outstation trips, event logistics and bespoke schedules). Message us with your dates and we'll recommend the best package.

Yes. Every private car hire from Grid Express comes with a professional, verified driver. All our drivers have valid driver's licences, valid vehicle papers, insurance and a clean driving record. They are interviewed in person, vetted against references and evaluated before being assigned to any hire. Your driver is professional, uniformed where appropriate, courteous and knowledgeable about Benin City routes and beyond. If you book an extended weekly or monthly hire, we can assign the same driver throughout so you get consistency and familiarity.

We offer a full range of vehicles in our private car hire fleet: economy sedans (best value for small hires), mid-size saloons (comfortable for airport transfers and business travel), SUVs and 7-seaters (families and small groups with luggage), executive cars (VIP pickups, corporate travel and weddings), minibuses (14–18 seaters for group transport and event shuttles) and coasters or buses (larger weddings, conferences, pilgrimages and group trips). Every car is air-conditioned and inspected for roadworthiness, cleanliness and working seatbelts. Tell us your passenger count and luggage needs and we'll recommend the right car.

Yes. Corporate car hire is one of our most popular private hire services. We work with banks, law firms, oil and gas companies, hotels, hospitals, embassies and NGOs in Benin City that need a dedicated car and driver for their executives, visiting clients or day-to-day operations. Corporate accounts get priority booking, dedicated drivers on standing request, consistent vehicles, monthly invoicing and one point of contact on WhatsApp. Ask about a corporate car hire account when you message.

Yes. Wedding car hire and event car hire are among our most requested private hire services. We provide executive cars, SUVs and minibuses for bridal parties, guest pickups and event shuttles — all coordinated to arrive together. Drivers can be dressed neatly for the occasion, and we can run multiple shuttle routes for larger events. Message us with your event date, time, venue and passenger counts and we'll plan the transport and send you a quote.

Yes. Airport car hire is one of our most popular private hire services. We pick up from anywhere in Benin City and drop you at Benin Airport (BNI) with a car and driver at your disposal, or pick you up from the airport arrivals hall and take you home, to a hotel, to a meeting or straight into a full day of hire. We monitor your flight arrival so we're there when you land, even if the flight is delayed. Early-morning airport pickups (4am, 5am) are available on the same hire.

Yes. We drive private hire passengers from Benin City to other cities in Edo State (Ekpoma, Auchi, Irrua, Uromi, Igarra, Sabongida-Ora, Abudu, Ubiaja, Fugar) and across Nigeria (Lagos, Abuja, Warri, Asaba, Sapele, Agbor, Port Harcourt, Ibadan, Onitsha, Enugu, Kano, Kaduna and more). Outstation hires are quoted per route and include fuel, driver and tolls where applicable. Some are one-way, some are return, and some are multi-day hires with the driver staying with you throughout. Message us with your route and dates for an exact price.

Yes. Extensions are usually simple. Message us on WhatsApp with the extra hours or days you need and we'll confirm availability and adjust the price. If your hire is billed hourly, extending by a few hours is straightforward. If you're on a daily or weekly hire and want to continue, we can extend it into the next period at the same rate — often keeping the same driver and car so nothing changes for you. Overnight extensions for outstation trips are also available.

Yes. Weekly and monthly private car hire are available with dedicated drivers. Weekly hire is ideal for visiting executives, consultants, contractors, conference delegates and families hosting guests. Monthly hire is the standard option for long-term visitors, corporate retainers and organisations that need a car and driver available throughout the month. Monthly hires get significant discounts over daily rates and include a dedicated driver assigned to your account. Message us with your dates for a weekly or monthly quote.

You can pay in cash, by bank transfer or by online payment. Corporate accounts can be billed monthly on invoice. For hourly and daily hires, we usually agree a fare upfront on WhatsApp and you pay at the end of the hire. For weekly, monthly and corporate hires, we can arrange part-payment upfront and the balance on completion, or monthly invoicing. Everything is agreed in writing before the hire starts, so there are no surprise charges at the end.

Yes. Regular and one-off medical hires (hospital visits, dialysis, clinic appointments, physiotherapy) and school run hires are both available. Our drivers are courteous, careful and can assist elderly passengers and passengers with limited mobility to enter and exit the car. For regular schedules — for example a school run every weekday morning, or a hospital appointment every Tuesday — we can assign the same driver and car so you get a familiar face and consistent service. Ask about standing schedules when you message.

Yes. Every driver on our private car hire platform is verified with a valid driver's licence, valid vehicle papers, insurance and a clean driving record. Drivers are interviewed in person, vetted against references and evaluated on a trial period before being assigned to any hire. Every car is inspected for roadworthiness, air conditioning, seatbelts and cleanliness. You are sent the driver's name, car model, colour and plate number in advance, and the driver is reachable by phone throughout the hire.

Yes. Many of our private car hire clients are visitors from abroad, Nigerian diaspora guests staying in Benin City, and family members hosting relatives. We can arrange a car and driver for the entire duration of a visit — airport pickup, daily movements, family events, outstation trips and airport drop-off. You can book and pay from abroad and we'll look after your guests while they are in Benin City. We send live WhatsApp updates to whoever arranges the booking.

Yes. Hourly car hire is available with a minimum booking (typically 2 to 4 hours) and a per-hour rate. It is ideal for a morning of meetings, an afternoon of errands, a single event, or any day when you need a car and driver at your disposal without committing to a full day. The driver stays with you and drives wherever you need to go. If you end up needing more hours than planned, extending is usually easy.

For most hires we match a car and driver to your trip based on your itinerary and passenger count, and send you their details in advance. If you have a specific car type or preference (for example an executive saloon for a business trip, an SUV for a family with luggage, or a specific driver you've used before), tell us when you book and we'll do our best to accommodate. For weekly, monthly and corporate hires, we assign the same driver throughout so you get consistency.

Message us on WhatsApp at 0813 094 7747 with your hire dates, duration, passenger count, itinerary and any specific needs. We reply with a hire plan and firm price, confirm the car and driver, and lock in your booking. You can also call the same number if you prefer to speak to someone. For scheduled and corporate hires we confirm the driver the day before and send you a reminder the morning of the hire.
